Bar/Restaurant Manager — St. Stephen's Green & Alhambra Irish House

Now hiring a Bar/Restaurant Manager to join our management team across St. Stephen's Green in Mountain View and Alhambra Irish House in Redwood City. Our ideal candidate is a driven self-starter, willing to do what it takes to operate a successful bar and restaurant, and ready to share in the success of the business.

Job Summary:

Plan, organize, train, direct, and coordinate the staff and resources for the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages, all while maintaining a fun, welcoming Irish pub atmosphere.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operational management: training, guest satisfaction, floor supervision, line checks, recipe compliance, window management, and more
• Developing food and beverage offerings
• Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for guests
• Nurturing a positive working environment while monitoring operations and initiating corrective actions as needed
• Guerrilla marketing
• Daily cash handling and financial reporting
• Conducting weekly and month-end inventory
• Preparing weekly schedules, managing staffing levels, and assigning shift tasks
• Pulling reports and presenting operational details to ownership

You must be dependable, self-sufficient, and PASSIONATE about serving excellent food and providing outstanding customer service. It is crucial that you possess strong leadership and organizational skills along with an enthusiastic, customer-oriented attitude.

Qualifications:

• Education and industry-related coursework
• 3 years of previous management experience in a comparable environment
• A strong understanding of food, beverage, and labor costs
• Ability to perform stock takes independently
• Stable work history
• Availability to work a flexible schedule
• Spanish and a back-of-house background, while not required, would be an advantage

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year, plus health insurance and a share of profits
